Eight out of ten teenagers struggle with acne and can continue to have breakouts well into their twenties. Some people can treat their acne by simple washing their face daily while others need to use stronger prescribed medications. Every person's skin is different but there are some simple ways to try to control acne. The first and easiest way to prevent acne is to just stop touching your face! When you touch your face you spread around bacteria while also transferring the germs from your fingertips onto your face. This definitely won't cure acne but it can help make sure that breakouts are less often and severe. The second way to help prevent acne is to wash your face at least once a day and drink plenty of water. Some people may only need to wash their face at night while others may require it twice, once in the morning and then again at night. The third way is to use acne medications or face washes. There are plenty of drugstore acne washes and medications that you can purchase from target and there are also stronger treatments you can get online, like Proactive, or from the doctor. I recommend trying the different things in the drugstore before resorting to more expensive treatments like Skin I.D. or Proactive.
When I was younger I tried plenty of drugstore treatments but found that they just weren't working for me. I eventually tried Skin I.D. which is from Neutrogena. You go online and take a survey about your skin and get a personalized system of products to used based on your answers. I saw results in about two weeks and it really worked well. However, it is very expensive and lately I have been seeing better drugstore options. So I stopped using Skin I.D. and have gone back to using Neutrogena drugstore products.

Pamper Yourself for Valentine's Day!
Valentine's Day is almost here and wether you are planning on going out or staying in with some friends, we could all use a little bit of pampering. The first thing that I like to do when I have a spa day is to use one of the Que Bella Face Masks from Target. They have plenty of different masks to choose from and they only cost about one dollar. Next I like to use a hair mask. My favorite has been the Macadamia Deep Repair Hair Masque. My hair always feels so soft and healthy after I've used it. While your masks are on try to relax and enjoy yourself! Watch one of your favorite movies and eat a little bit of junk food or maybe make some tea! xoxo Beauty Freak

Weight Loss!
I am currently in the middle of trying to become healthier and lose a little bit of weight, and I would love to share my journey with you. I know we have all been in that place in life were we just aren't happy with our bodies and wish that we could lose a few extra pounds. Now that the spring is coming I decided that I needed to start trying to eat better and start exercising more. I've been going on runs after I get home from school and trying to watch what I eat. Just because you're watching what you eat doesn't mean that you have to be on a diet. It can be as simple as switching soda or sweet tea to water instead.
I've only been doing this for two weeks and I have noticed that I don't feel as sluggish and that I sleep better at night. My skin has also started to clear up from the stress relief that is caused by exercising! I'll keep you guys updated! xoxo Beauty Freak

Lets talk scents...
There have been a lot of exciting perfumes that have been released lately, from Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck to Justin Bieber's Girlfriend. Both have been go to scents for me lately, but I actually have preferred using Body Mists from Bath and Body Works. They are very light and come in many different scents, my favorite being Country Chic. Since they are body mists they aren't as heavy as perfume but they also wear off quickly. They are perfect to wear to school or just going shopping. But what about when you go out on a date and you do want something a little bit heavier? I suggest that you try out DKNY's Golden Delicious or Be Delicious. They both smell good and the scent stays for a long period of time, at least four or five hours. You can purchase a rollerball duo with both scents from Sephora for about $18 or $20. What are your favorite night time and day time scents? Let me know down below! xox Beauty Freak

Review: Clarisonic Mia!
I've had my Clarisonic Mia for just over six months now and I have no idea how I got by without it. I use it every single evening with either my Purity cleanser by Philosophy or with my Cetaphil. It works wonders on my skin! It has helped even out my skin tone as well as deep cleaning my pores to reduce breakouts. The Clarisonic is very pricey though and at first I wasn't sure if it would be worth it or not. After using it almost daily for half a year I can honestly tell you that it is worth the money. The best thing to do is go into Sephora and look to see if you can find a Clarisonic set. Mine came with a few cleansers and two brush heads for around $180. That is still a lot of money, but you are getting extra brush heads and free cleansers as well. xoxo Beauty Freak
